The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board has postponed the opening of its online portal for shortlisted candidates expected to take part in physical screening and document verification for the 2025 recruitment exercise.
The portal, which had originally been scheduled to open from Monday, 1 December to Wednesday, 3 December, will now be activated at a later date, according to the announcement issued on Monday night.
In a statement signed by its Secretary, Maj.-Gen. A. M. Jibril (Rtd) and posted on X, the board explained that the portal “will now be open as soon as possible,” but did not specify a new date.
Shortlisted applicants have been advised to keep checking the official recruitment website, recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, for the updated timetable.
The board apologised for the inconvenience caused by the delay and expressed gratitude for applicants’ interest in the recruitment process. It added that further updates would be released through the official portal and verified social media handles.
Last month, the CDCFIB completed its computer-based tests, after which it announced that the next stage — physical screening and document verification — would commence on 1 December.
The verification phase remains essential to the recruitment exercise, as candidates’ identities, physical fitness and supporting documents will be thoroughly reviewed before they advance to the final selection stage.
The nationwide recruitment spans four major paramilitary agencies: the Nigeria Immigration Service, the Nigeria Correctional Service, the Federal Fire Service and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
