A Nigerian man, Festus Awolowo Etame, from Isoko in Delta State, has once again made headlines after publicly renewing his marriage proposal to Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage.

In a heartfelt letter dated October 23, 2025 — barely a week after his first proposal — Festus, who described himself as a Management Consultant, Author, and Publisher, expressed unwavering affection for the singer, insisting his intentions were sincere and not motivated by fame or wealth.

He urged Tiwa Savage to avoid marrying into a polygamous home, warning that doing so could negatively affect her career, peace of mind, and overall happiness. Instead, he advised her to choose a Christian, monogamous partner who would love her and embrace her son as his own.

“I’m not coming to chop and run,” Festus wrote, assuring Tiwa that he could give her love, stability, and emotional fulfillment. He emphasized that a monogamous marriage would bring her lasting peace, love, and satisfaction, even touching on intimacy, saying that a faithful husband could “perform ultimately for spousal good.”

Recalling his experience growing up in a polygamous household, Festus warned Tiwa that such family structures often breed rivalry and unhappiness. He described her as too beautiful, talented, and influential to endure such an environment.

He further revealed that he was once married to a Yoruba woman who passed away in 2019, adding that he remains open to love again if it aligns with God’s will.

Festus ended his letter by reaffirming his moral values — claiming he neither drinks nor smokes — and appealing to Tiwa Savage to accept his proposal.

He wrote, “I’m not looking for a perfect Tiwa Savage. We all have weaknesses. But together, we can create peace, love, and happiness. Please, marry a Christian. Don’t marry a man with four or five wives — they’ll only bring you down. Accept my proposal, and let love lead.”
