Nnamdi Kanu Confirms IPOB Leadership Restructure
The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has confirmed the dissolution of the group’s third Directorate of State administration, stating that the decision is valid under IPOB rules and binding on all members worldwide.
He said no officer or structure has the power to challenge it.
The announcement follows internal disagreements within the movement over the leadership change.
IPOB spokesperson Emma Powerful explained that the new fourth administration, led by Chris Nwaọgụ, has already been set up and is now active across all structures.
The group said any members still claiming authority under the dissolved administration are acting outside its constitution and could face disciplinary action.
It also maintained that all appointments within IPOB are temporary and depend on performance and approval from the leadership.
IPOB further stressed that its Code of Conduct remains the highest authority within the movement, noting that decisions by the leader are final.
It urged members worldwide to remain disciplined and follow the new leadership structure without resistance.
