Nobody Should Challenge Nnamdi Kanu – IPOB
The Indigenous People of Biafra has declared that only its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, has the authority to make decisions affecting the movement.
The group said members of its dissolved third Directorate of State administration who still claim office are acting outside its rules.
In a statement issued by spokesperson Emma Powerful, IPOB said the dissolution of the former leadership was lawful and backed by the organisation’s Code of Conduct.
The group maintained that all officials derive their authority from Kanu and remain subject to the movement’s constitution.
IPOB stated that the Directorate of State was created by Kanu to manage the organisation’s affairs and that he retains the power to appoint, remove or reorganise its members.
It added that positions within the group are temporary and do not grant permanent rights to any individual.
The group confirmed that a new Directorate of State headed by Chris Nwaọgụ is already in place and functioning.
It warned that anyone refusing to recognise the new leadership could face disciplinary action, while reaffirming its loyalty to Kanu and adherence to its internal rules.
