Big Brother Naija faced a temporary broadcast disruption on Friday following a power outage.
In a notice to viewers, the organisers explained that the interruption was caused by a technical fault but assured that all housemates remained safe.
The show went off air for more than two hours before a statement was released confirming that the technical crew was working urgently to restore power and normal programming.
“We are experiencing a temporary break in transmission due to a power issue. The housemates are safe, and our technical team is working hard to restore service. Thank you for your patience—premium entertainment will be back shortly,” the statement read.
The unexpected blackout quickly drew reactions from fans on social media, many of whom voiced worry about the housemates and frustration over the disruption. The organisers, however, maintained that normal broadcast would resume without delay.
