The Rivers State House of Assembly will reconvene for legislative business at 10 a.m. on Thursday.
Reports indicate that the assembly, under the leadership of Speaker Hon. Martin Amaewhule, will hold its session at the Assembly Residential Complex along the Aba–Port Harcourt Expressway.
Sources revealed that the 27 lawmakers returned to the state days before the expiration of the State of Emergency declared by President Bola Tinubu, which temporarily suspended democratic governance in Rivers.
As of press time, the lawmakers, who are already lodged at the residential complex, were preparing to hold their first sitting.
