BBNaija star Tacha has come to Victor Osimhen’s defense after the Super Eagles striker faced backlash for a confrontation with teammate Ademola Lookman during Nigeria’s 4–0 Africa Cup of Nations win over Mozambique on January 5.
The reason behind Osimhen’s outburst is unclear, but it followed Lookman’s assist for one of Osimhen’s goals. While Osimhen confronted his teammate on the pitch, Lookman remained composed, yet fans quickly criticized Osimhen on social media.
Tacha, however, dismissed the criticism in a post on her X account, arguing that Nigerians’ reaction is because they’ve witnessed Osimhen’s scoring ability. She compared him to Cristiano Ronaldo, questioning whether fans would respond the same way if it were Ronaldo in the situation.
She wrote: Nigerians and see finish!! Y’all realize Victor Osimhen is our own Cristiano Ronaldo?? If Ronaldo did same thing we won’t have this much uproar but of course it’s Osimhen na.. make coach just Bench Osimhen for the next match i WON Check something 🚶♀️
