Nigerian activist VeryDarkMan, also known as Martins Vincent Otse, has announced that members of the Ratel Movement will launch a nationwide civic initiative beginning Saturday, November 29, 2025.

In a video shared online, he stated: “Starting from the 29th of November 2025, which is a Saturday, we the Ratel Movement are taking over Nigeria. We are shutting down this country—not with violence, but through impact. We are going to do what has never been seen before in Nigeria. We are moving beyond social media, where we only claim to be Ratels, to taking real-life action and making a direct impact on society.”

The program will cover all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, aiming to promote patriotism and civic responsibility among Nigerian youths. VeryDarkMan added: “We will engage in community service, clearing drainage systems, cleaning public schools, painting classrooms, repairing broken furniture, and filling potholes. We will tackle areas neglected and left dirty, and we will make a change.”

He stressed that the movement is non-political: “Politics and tribalism have no place here. We are patriotic Nigerians committed to the growth of our country. The challenges of Nigeria cannot be left solely to politicians; we all have a role to play.”

VeryDarkMan invited citizens to join the movement, noting that coordination and planning would also occur on the Clubhouse app. He concluded: “The most important thing is for Nigerians to love their country enough to take action. Beginning on the last Saturday of November, we will take action and continue to expand our activities.”

This initiative represents a major step in the Ratel Movement’s mission to encourage grassroots engagement and drive positive change across Nigerian communities.
