The faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aligned with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, held its Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting on Sunday in Abuja.
During his opening remarks, BoT Chairman Senator Mao Ohuabunwa reaffirmed the group’s commitment to rebuilding confidence in the party and completing congresses in states where they are still pending.
He assured members that the national leadership is ready to collaborate closely with state chapters to deliver renewed leadership and strengthen party structures across the country.
Ohuabunwa highlighted the faction’s main priorities, which include concluding overdue state congresses, consolidating recent achievements, and supporting the national leadership in repositioning the party.
He described these efforts as crucial to promoting unity, transparency, and more inclusive grassroots participation.
“By holding timely congresses and reinforcing organisational discipline, the PDP hopes to rebuild trust among members and present a more organised and credible front ahead of future elections,” he said.
