Dapo Abiodun has approved new welfare measures for civil servants in Ogun State, introducing a weekly day off and a ₦10,000 monthly transport allowance.

The move is aimed at easing work pressure and supporting workers amid rising living costs.

The decision affects public servants across the state, giving them a designated day each week to rest while still maintaining productivity.

Officials said the measure is part of efforts to improve working conditions and staff wellbeing.

The transport allowance is expected to help workers cope with commuting expenses, which have increased in recent times.

The government said the support is meant to reduce the financial burden on employees.

Authorities added that the policy reflects a broader plan to boost morale and efficiency within the civil service. Workers are expected to benefit from both improved welfare and better work-life balance.
