Air Peace Helps With Evacuation Move Of Nigerians
Air Peace has reduced its Abuja–London service to three flights per week. The adjustment was linked to Jet A1 aviation fuel supply challenges affecting operations.
The airline is also connected to evacuation efforts involving Nigerian citizens in South Africa. These developments come alongside concerns over xenophobic attacks in the region.
The airline expressed sadness over the situation that led to the evacuation of Nigerians from South Africa. It described the circumstances as unfortunate and troubling for affected citizens.
Chief Commercial Officer Nowel Ngala spoke through spokesperson Efe Osifo-Whiskey. He restated the airline’s focus on humanitarian support and national service.
Air Peace said it remains ready to assist the Federal Government in evacuation operations where necessary.
It noted that its actions align with the vision of its Chairman and CEO Allen Onyema, who promotes service and compassion over profit. Discussions are also ongoing about possible additional evacuation flights if required.
The airline stressed its willingness to respond quickly to national needs.
The carrier maintained that its role goes beyond commercial flights as it supports Nigerians in difficult situations. It continues to balance regular international operations with emergency responsibilities.
The airline said it will keep working with authorities to ensure safe transport for citizens. It also reaffirmed its commitment to remain available for national support duties.
