Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate Farida Sultana, popularly known as Sultana, has opened up about being forced into marriage at just 15 years old — an experience she says shaped her resilience and determination to reclaim her life.
The revelation came on Sunday after she won the interim Head of House challenge, ahead of her title defense on Monday.
In a candid conversation with fellow housemate Jason Jae, Sultana shared that she is now a proud mother to two daughters, Aaliyah and Lianora.
“I was married off really young,” she admitted, confirming she was only about 15 at the time. She explained that although the marriage wasn’t her choice, her willpower and stubborn spirit eventually helped her break free. She also revealed both of her children were delivered via C-section.
Later, her official X account, managed by her team, reaffirmed her story, noting that she built her life “brick by brick” with the love and support of those around her and has embraced her journey fully.
Speaking about her daughters, Sultana said, “Aaliyah and Lianora are my world. I love them deeply and cherish them with all my heart.”
She also hinted that her tattoos hold deep personal meaning, describing herself as “like an onion — the more you peel, the more you uncover.”
According to her team, Sultana’s presence on BBNaija is more than just entertainment; she hopes to inspire young girls in Northern Nigeria who face similar struggles.
