The development was confirmed on Monday in Lokoja through a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo.

According to the statement, the deceased are Hon. Onojah James Ignatius, Hon. Jatto Onimisi Suleiman and Alhaji Alih Atabo.

Fanwo said the state received the news of their passing with deep sorrow, describing them as distinguished sons of Kogi State who served with dedication.

“Hon. Onojah James Ignatius was the Special Adviser to the Governor of Kogi State and a former Chairman of Igalamela Local Government Area. Hon. Jatto Onimisi Suleiman served as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, while Alhaji Alih Atabo was the APC Chairman of Anyigba Ward in Dekina Local Government Area,” the statement said.

He noted that the late Onojah Ignatius was a seasoned grassroots mobiliser and administrator whose passion for community development and good governance was evident throughout his public service.

According to him, Jatto Onimisi Suleiman carried out his responsibilities with humility, diligence and a strong sense of duty, always placing public interest above personal gain.

Fanwo also described Alhaji Alih Atabo as a committed party stalwart whose dedication to the growth, unity and progress of the APC at the ward level was exemplary.

The commissioner, however, did not disclose the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

He conveyed the condolences of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, as well as those of the Kogi State Government and the people of the state, to the families of the deceased, their associates and the entire APC family.
