I Don’t See The Hunger Nigerians Complain About – Tinubu Aide
Presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, has challenged claims of widespread hunger in Nigeria, saying many citizens are benefiting from programmes introduced by President Bola Tinubu.
He pointed to infrastructure projects, student loans and credit schemes as signs of progress.
Speaking during a television interview, Onanuga said improved road networks have made travel easier for many Nigerians.
He cited a recently completed concrete road around the Ijebu-Ode area and said the coastal highway project had reduced travel time for residents moving between Lagos and surrounding communities.
He also listed the Federal Government’s student loan programme and low-interest credit facilities for civil servants among policies helping families cope with economic challenges.
According to him, these initiatives are providing direct support to many households across the country.
While admitting that economic difficulties still exist, Onanuga said his personal experience does not match the scale of hardship often described in public debates.
He maintained that conversations about the economy should also consider the benefits some Nigerians are already receiving from government programmes.
