Dangote Refutes Fuel Reimport Claim
Dangote Refinery has dismissed reports suggesting that petroleum products exported from its facility are finding their way back into Nigeria.
The company said the claims do not reflect its export operations and product distribution process.
The refinery explained that products shipped to international markets are sold through established commercial channels and are not deliberately routed back into the Nigerian market.
It maintained that its exports follow standard global trading practices.
The company said its focus remains on increasing local fuel supply while also serving foreign markets where demand exists.
It added that the refinery continues to support efforts aimed at improving energy security and reducing dependence on imported petroleum products.
Dangote Refinery urged the public to rely on verified information, insisting that its operations are transparent and aligned with industry regulations.
The company reaffirmed its commitment to meeting both domestic and international fuel needs.
