Election Won’t Hold Without ADC – Nwosu
The African Democratic Congress says the 2027 elections cannot go ahead if it is excluded from the ballot, as founding chairman Ralph Nwosu raised concerns in Abuja.
He warned that leaving the party out would undermine the electoral process.
Nwosu spoke at a youth summit, claiming the party has built strong support and could challenge Bola Tinubu in the next election.
He added that some lawmakers are already in talks with the party as political alignments begin to shift.
He insisted the party followed due process in its internal changes, blaming ongoing disputes on wider political practices.
The leadership crisis, however, has led to legal battles and uncertainty over the party’s status with the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Despite the tension, party leaders say efforts are ongoing to stabilise the structure and prepare for the elections.
They maintain that participation in the polls is non-negotiable as court decisions on the leadership tussle are awaited.
