Fubara’s Brother Joins Rivers Governorship Race
Blessing Fubara, a sibling of Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, has entered the race for the state governorship under the Nigerian Democratic Congress.
He also pledged to serve only a single term if elected.
He made the declaration ahead of the party’s primary election, describing himself as prepared, capable and energetic.
He said his ambition is focused on restoring stability, peace and economic growth in Rivers State.
Fubara claimed the state has faced setbacks in development and investment, calling for a collective push across political and ethnic groups to rebuild its fortunes.
He also said Rivers people must reject what he described as decline in governance and unity.
The aspirant vowed to respect the state’s zoning arrangement and urged support for political rotation.
He further called on supporters to mobilise for the party primaries, promising better leadership and stronger governance if elected.
