The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board will on Monday, May 11, decide the minimum UTME cutoff marks for admission into tertiary institutions for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The decision will be taken during its annual policy meeting on admissions in Abuja.

The meeting will bring together vice-chancellors, rectors, provosts, registrars and admission officers from universities, polytechnics and colleges of education across the country.

Representatives of agencies including the NUC, NBTE and NCCE are also expected to attend.

According to JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the gathering will also decide admission guidelines and other policies for the new admission exercise.

Education Minister Maruf Alausa is expected to unveil key policy directions at the event.

The policy meeting will also feature the National Tertiary Admissions Performance-Merit Awards aimed at encouraging compliance with admission rules among tertiary institutions.
