Kill Terrorists Or Resign From Office – Adebayo Tells Tinubu
Adewole Adebayo, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party, has criticised President Bola Tinubu over worsening insecurity in Nigeria.
He made the remarks on Tuesday during a condolence visit to Governor Seyi Makinde in Oyo State.
The visit followed recent attacks and kidnappings in Oriire Local Government Area.
Adebayo said the federal government has failed in its duty to protect citizens and described the security situation as troubling across several states.
He also claimed that many communities are living in fear due to repeated attacks. His comments came after meeting victims and state officials in Oyo.
He further stated that states are doing their best through local security efforts, but the federal government has not provided enough support.
He accused the administration of focusing more on politics than addressing security challenges. He called for urgent steps to restore safety across the country.
The visit came after armed men attacked schools in Oriire, abducting pupils and teachers, which has sparked widespread concern.
Security agencies have since begun rescue efforts while the Oyo State Government works with local forces to track the attackers.
