Ebonyi ADC Confirms Onu Suspension
In Ebonyi State, the State Executive Committee of the African Democratic Congress has confirmed the suspension of Silas Onu over alleged anti-party conduct.
The decision followed a meeting at the party secretariat in Abakaliki, where members reviewed earlier action taken at the ward level.
The suspension, read by party secretary Chukwudi Mgboroko, cited misconduct, false claims of leadership, and actions said to disrupt party structure.
Officials said his conduct could damage the party’s image and weaken internal stability.
After deliberation, members of the committee unanimously endorsed the three-month suspension earlier issued by his ward.
Party leaders maintained that discipline and order must be upheld, especially as political activities ahead of future elections gather pace.
State chairman Jennifer Adibe Nwafor said Onu is barred from all party activities and must stop presenting himself as an official.
The suspension remains in effect pending further review by the party’s disciplinary body.
