Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has hit back at critics after a gym photo of her showing a visibly bloated stomach went viral.
Taking to social media, she emphasized that her priority is fitness and health, not conforming to anyone’s beauty standards.
“I went to the gym to stay fit and stay healthy, not for a fashion show or runway. How am I supposed to look for the gym after a long day? It’s well. Una go soon intensify una attack cus una never see anything!” she wrote.
Nkechi Blessing revealed that she had initially considered responding harshly but decided to remain calm after seeing supportive messages from fans.
“You really cannot disgrace a woman clothed with so much grace. And to you that took that picture, I leave you in the hands of God; He will judge you accordingly,” she added.
Laughing off the criticism, she concluded: “Nkechi trying to stay healthy and fit in the gym is a topic? Lmao, with my big belle with pride. Una go dey alright for real!”
