The governor has appointed Dr. Ebojele Akhere Patrick as the new Chief Press Secretary.

The statement described Dr. Ebojele as an accomplished journalist, public administrator, researcher, and lecturer with an impressive track record in media, public affairs, and academia.

It further noted that the new appointment demonstrates the administration’s commitment to improving communication between the government and the people of Edo State, ensuring clearer, transparent, and effective dissemination of government policies and activities.

Dr. Ebojele’s journalism experience includes work with notable Nigerian media organisations, serving as Edo/Delta Correspondent for Channels Television and holding correspondent positions with New Nigerian Newspaper, Champion Newspaper, and Comet Newspapers.

He replaces Mr. Fred Itua, who is expected to await a new role after completing the handover. The government expressed gratitude to Itua for his service and contributions.
