The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has inaugurated a new Board of Trustees (BoT) in a move aimed at restoring the party’s values and moral direction. The ceremony was led by Acting National Chairman Abdulrahman Mohammed in Abuja on Friday.
Mohammed criticized the previous BoT, led by Adolphus Wabara and Umar Damagum, saying it had become ineffective by protecting party leaders who violated rules, which weakened the party’s moral authority.
“The new Board of Trustees is not just a statutory body; it is a symbol of rebirth,” Mohammed said. “It reflects our commitment to returning the PDP to its moral center and ensuring it acts as the conscience and guiding compass of the party.”
He emphasized that the new board carries a sacred responsibility. “This is not a reward for loyalty. Members must speak truth to power, defend justice, and ensure the PDP remains a party for all Nigerians. Their actions should inspire unity and confidence in our shared future,” he added.
Mao Ohabunwa was elected chairman of the new BoT, while Isah Dansidi was appointed secretary. The inauguration took place at the FCT Minister’s official residence in Abuja.
Mohammed said the creation of the new board is intended to correct past mistakes, reinforce discipline, and restore public trust in the party. “Under this leadership, the PDP will no longer be held hostage by impunity or manipulation. We are committed to rebuilding transparency, respecting the rule of law, and making the PDP a moral voice for Nigeria’s democracy once again,” he said.
The new BoT is expected to guide the party through internal challenges, uphold fairness, and strengthen the principles that ensure inclusivity and equity within the PDP.

If I had to summarise the editorial sensibility of this site in a few words it would be careful and human, and a look at learnbyexperience extended that summary feeling, capturing the essence of a sites approach in brief is hard but this site has a clear enough identity that the summary comes naturally enough.
Really clear writing, the kind that makes you want to share the link with someone who has been asking about the topic, and a quick browse through syxbolt only made me more sure of that, the information here stays useful long after the first read is done which says a lot.
Decided to set a calendar reminder to revisit, and a stop at erminecobble extended that revisit list, calendar entries for content are a level of commitment I rarely make but when I do they signal a higher regard than a simple bookmark and this site has earned that calendar tier of relationship from me today.
