Ukpai, widely regarded as a spiritual general and a pioneer of faith in Nigeria, devoted more than six decades to evangelism, teaching the Word, and demonstrating God’s power through prophetic acts. His ministry touched millions of lives, both in Nigeria and across the globe, shaping spiritual growth and inspiring generations of believers.

“He was a faithful soldier of the cross who dedicated his life to spreading the gospel with passion and integrity. His teachings, prophetic insights, and mentorship have left a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire believers for years to come,” his family said.

Known for his dynamic evangelistic campaigns, transformative teachings, and commitment to equipping both clergy and lay leaders, Ukpai was also celebrated as a loving husband, devoted father, and mentor to countless individuals seeking guidance in faith and life.

The family expressed gratitude for his life and work, noting that while they mourn his physical absence, they rejoice that he “finished his race and is now resting in eternal praise.” Details of his funeral will be shared in due course.

With a ministry spanning over sixty years, Ukpai leaves behind a lasting spiritual and social legacy through churches, educational initiatives, and humanitarian programs that continue to impact communities worldwide. His life exemplified the biblical truth: “To live is Christ, and to die is gain” (Philippians 1:21).
