The Ogun State Government, on Sunday, announced the payment of an end-of-year bonus to its workers.
The State Head of Service, Mr Kehinde Onasanya, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists in Abeokuta.
According to the statement, the bonus is intended to appreciate workers for their dedication throughout the year and to recognise their contributions to the successful implementation of the ‘Building Our Future Together’ agenda.
Onasanya stated that the gesture, which is aimed at boosting morale and encouraging increased dedication to duty, applies to all categories of state employees.
He said, “The bonus also acknowledges the role of public servants in driving the government’s Building Our Future Together agenda.
“This gesture cuts across all categories of state employees and is aimed at boosting morale and encouraging greater commitment to duty.”
The statement added that the workers welcomed the bonus, describing it as both timely and generous.
The end-of-year bonus, which has become a consistent feature of the Governor Dapo Abiodun administration, is regarded as a demonstration of the government’s continued commitment to workers’ welfare.
