The Era Of Ballot Box Snatching, Manipulation Is Over – INEC
The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared that the days of ballot box snatching and election result manipulation are over.
The commission said improvements in the electoral process have made such practices more difficult.
INEC stated that new systems and stricter procedures have strengthened the credibility of elections across the country. It noted that efforts are being made to protect every vote and improve public confidence in the electoral process.
The commission also warned politicians and their supporters against engaging in electoral offences.
It maintained that anyone who attempts to disrupt elections or tamper with results would face the consequences under the law.
INEC reaffirmed its commitment to conducting free, fair and credible elections. It assured Nigerians that it would continue working to safeguard the integrity of future polls.
