Toke Makinwa is preparing for a memorable Christmas—her first as a mother.
The media personality took to Instagram to share a video of her stunning holiday decorations, revealing her excitement about celebrating the season with her daughter, Yakira. Toke said she’s eager to start new family traditions, including decorating together with her little girl.
She also ordered ornaments from the time Yakira was born, which she is excited to display. “Yaya loves looking at the lights,” Toke shared, noting how her daughter is captivated by the festive setup.
In her post, she wrote: “Santa, pls stop here for Yakira…. Christmas 2025…… A very personal one for me. It’s my first Christmas as a mom, my daughter’s first Christmas, new family tradition unlocked. This year I wanted to do the decorations myself, taking it back to the family traditions we had growing up. Can’t wait till Yaya starts running around and we can set it up together. I ordered some ornaments from the time my daughter was born, and they came out just as pretty as I imagined. Yaya loves looking at the lights. She gets lost just looking at the decorations. ‘Tis the season, guys, prepare to be sick of me.”
