A mini truck transporting tomatoes lost control and crashed into several vehicles on the Otedola Bridge section of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Friday.
The accident occurred around noon and eyewitnesses said it was caused by brake failure. The truck swerved out of its lane, hitting other cars and creating chaos among motorists.
The impact pushed a black SUV onto another vehicle, causing significant damage, but no fatalities were reported. A family inside one of the vehicles involved reportedly escaped without injuries.
Traffic on the bridge was severely disrupted for hours as emergency responders and road users worked to clear the scene. Otedola Bridge, known for frequent accidents, remains one of Lagos’ most dangerous spots, particularly for heavy vehicles.
