President Donald Trump has introduced a newly built “Presidential Walk of Fame” at the White House, featuring portraits of every former U.S. president — except Joe Biden.
Rather than displaying Biden’s official portrait, Trump replaced it with an image of an autopen signing Biden’s name — a direct jab at his claim that Biden was not fully in charge during his presidency.
The move marks another attempt by Trump to question Biden’s legitimacy and undermine his legacy. During his address at the UN General Assembly earlier this week, Trump again mocked Biden before a gathering of over 100 world leaders and repeated his unfounded claims about the 2020 election results.
Trump had previously signaled his plan to use the autopen image, alleging — without evidence — that Biden’s aides relied on the device to sign key documents without Biden’s direct involvement. He has also raised doubts about the validity of pardons and other official papers bearing Biden’s autopen signature, even though the practice has been used by several past presidents. A Republican-led House committee is currently investigating the Biden administration’s use of the device.
White House staff proudly shared photos of the walkway on social media on Wednesday, with the media expected to view it later that evening during a dinner Trump hosted at the newly renovated Rose Garden patio where the portraits are displayed.
The Presidential Walk of Fame is part of a series of major renovations Trump has made since returning to the White House, including new gold details in the Oval Office, massive flagpoles on the lawns, a stone-paved Rose Garden, and the construction of a grand ballroom.
