Young John has appealed to his critics, asking them to stop undermining his talent and the years of hard work that have shaped his music career.
The producer-turned-singer addressed recent criticisms suggesting his music is monotonous, urging those who do not enjoy his work to simply ignore it rather than belittle his efforts.
He wrote:
“If you’re not a fan of my work, leave it at that! Don’t come here and water down my years of hard work!”
Young John began his journey as a music producer in 2010, gaining recognition through his work with Olamide’s YBNL family. In 2022, he transitioned into singing after signing with Chocolate City.
His single “Dada” became a hit, and the remix featuring Davido further boosted his reputation, establishing him as one of Nigeria’s rising vocal talents.
