ADC Alleges FAAC Fund Misuse
The African Democratic Congress has accused the ruling APC of allegedly turning government resources into a tool for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election plans.
The party reacted to reports claiming that funds deducted from FAAC allocations were linked to political accounts connected to Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma.
ADC spokesperson Bolaji Abdullahi said the allegations point to possible misuse of public funds meant for development and welfare.
He argued that Nigerians are facing rising hardship despite increased revenues received by states after fuel subsidy removal and naira devaluation.
According to the opposition party, money from FAAC should be used for salaries, hospitals, schools, security and infrastructure rather than political activities.
The ADC also claimed the reported crisis among APC governors may have exposed deeper problems surrounding the handling of alleged campaign funds.
The party called for an independent investigation into the claims and demanded transparency over the reported accounts and transactions.
Abdullahi warned that any confirmed diversion of public resources for political purposes would amount to a serious betrayal of public trust.
