The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has highlighted the resilience of the Nigerian military following a confrontation between a military officer and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike over a disputed plot of land in Abuja.

During the incident, Wike attempted to access the land, but the officer blocked him, insisting he was acting on official orders. Despite the heated exchange, the officer stood firm, refusing to allow the Minister to proceed.

In a subtle social media post, the DHQ praised the military’s discipline and commitment, stating:
“IT IS AN HONOUR TO SERVE IN THE NIGERIAN MILITARY
UNSHAKEN.
UNBENT.
UNBROKEN.”

The post serves as a reminder of the military’s dedication to duty and the enforcement of official directives, even amid politically sensitive situations. The incident also underscores ongoing tensions surrounding land allocations in the Federal Capital Territory.
