Dele Momodu Rules Out Obi In 2027 Election
Dele Momodu, publisher of Ovation Magazine, has projected that the 2027 presidential election will be a direct contest between President Bola Tinubu and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
He said the political field is gradually shaping into a two-man race ahead of the polls.
In comments shared on his social media page, Momodu noted that while a third political force could emerge as seen in 2023, it may not have enough strength to challenge the two leading figures.
His position places Labour Party candidate Peter Obi outside the expected frontline contest.
He also urged opposition forces to build broader alliances that combine experienced politicians with new voices, arguing that such a mix could help strengthen national unity.
Momodu warned that ethnic and religious divisions could further strain the country’s political atmosphere if not addressed.
He called for a return to issue-based politics and stronger national cooperation, adding that Nigeria needs leadership focused on unity and stability as preparations for the 2027 elections gather pace.
