New Bandit Attack Leaves Four Dead In Zamfara
Four residents have been killed after armed bandits attacked Wuyya village in Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara State in the latest violence to hit the region.
The attack took place on Sunday evening when the gunmen stormed the community and opened fire on residents.
Security sources confirmed that the attackers invaded the village overnight, leaving four people dead before fleeing the area.
The victims were later buried on Monday morning according to Islamic rites as the community mourned the loss.
The incident has added to growing concern over worsening insecurity in Zamfara, where rural communities continue to face repeated raids despite ongoing security operations.
Many residents say they remain exposed to attacks with limited protection in remote areas.
Zamfara remains one of the worst affected states in the northwest, with frequent cases of killings, kidnappings and displacement forcing many families to abandon their homes.
Residents continue to call for stronger and more effective security presence in vulnerable communities.
