FG Issues Warning To Media On Tinubu’s Title
The Federal Government has raised concerns over the repeated misuse of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s official title by some organisations and media platforms.
Authorities said the growing trend has led to incorrect references in public statements, reports and official events across the country.
The government urged media houses, institutions and political groups to use the President’s proper title in all communications and public engagements.
Officials warned that consistent errors could create confusion and fail to reflect the dignity attached to the office of the President.
According to the government, the reminder became necessary after noticing several cases where Tinubu’s title was wrongly presented in publications and announcements.
It stressed that official titles must be used accurately in line with established government protocol and constitutional standards.
The Federal Government also called for greater professionalism among media practitioners and organisations handling official communications.
It added that respecting the correct title of the President remains part of maintaining order, accuracy and respect for public institutions.
