FG Unveils Nationwide Learning Assessment Week
The Federal Government has declared June 29 to July 3, 2026, as National Learning Assessment Week ahead of the country’s first nationwide learning evaluation exercise.
The assessment will take place across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The initiative is aimed at measuring learning outcomes among pupils and providing data that can guide education planning and policy decisions.
It marks the first time Nigeria will conduct a coordinated national assessment of this scale.
Education authorities are expected to use the results to identify strengths and gaps within the school system, helping governments and stakeholders improve teaching standards and student performance.
The exercise forms part of broader efforts to strengthen the education sector and ensure that learning achievements are properly tracked across the country.
