Fire ravaged car park at Douala Cameroun port

A fire of a large scale ravaged a car park in the Port of Douala Cameroun on Saturday night around 23.50 pm.

According to a source at the Customs, the fire allegedly started in a vehicle being cleared.

Despite the rapid response of firefighters, the flames spread at a blazing speed, destroying a total of 47 vehicles, including 40 used and 7 new.

Reports has it that Among the destroyed vehicles, some were destined for export to the Central African Republic and other African regions 

The competent authorities have opened an investigation to determine the exact causes of the fire and identify potential responsible.
