His sudden passing has thrown the political community and the family into deep mourning. His mother, Orelope-Adefulire, is a well-known figure in Nigerian politics, having served as Deputy Governor of Lagos State from 2011 to 2015 under former Governor Babatunde Fashola.

She currently holds the position of Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a role she was reappointed to in September 2023 after previously serving in the same capacity under former President Muhammadu Buhari.

The 65-year-old administrator and social worker, who descends from a royal lineage, has built an impressive career in public service spanning more than twenty years. She also served as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation from 2003 to 2011.

She remains highly influential at the grassroots, serving as the All Progressives Congress (APC) Political Apex Leader of Alimosho Federal Constituency and a notable member of the Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC).

Details surrounding the circumstances of Dr Adefulire’s death have not yet been disclosed as the family grieves this painful and unexpected loss.
