Invite El Rufai, Ganduje, Malami For Questioning – Sowore
Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has called for former Kaduna governor Nasir El-Rufai, ex-Kano governor Abdullahi Ganduje, former DSS boss Yusuf Bichi and former Attorney-General Abubakar Malami to be questioned over the disappearance of activist Abubakar Idris, popularly known as Dadiyata.
He made the demand in a statement shared on Saturday.
Sowore said he had no confidence in the Nigeria Police Force handling the investigation through the IGP Monitoring Unit.
He insisted that a Judicial Commission of Inquiry should be created to investigate the case and invite all individuals linked to the matter for questioning.
Since then, his whereabouts have remained unknown, with repeated calls from activists and supporters demanding answers from authorities.
The latest development followed a petition submitted to the police over allegations made by Muhammad Musa Kamarawa, a former aide to ex-Zamfara governor Bello Matawalle.
The petition accused two senior police officers of making threats linked to Dadiyata’s alleged killing, prompting the Inspector-General of Police to order an investigation into the claims.
