Jandor Withdraws From Lagos APC Race
Lagos politician Abdul-Azeez Adediran has withdrawn from the All Progressives Congress governorship race in Lagos and declared support for the endorsement of Obafemi Hamzat.
The move comes as the party begins early alignments ahead of the 2027 election.
Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, said he would no longer pursue the ticket and would instead back the party’s direction.
His decision signals a shift within the APC ranks in Lagos as leaders consolidate support around a preferred candidate.
Hamzat has already received backing from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, strengthening his position within the party.
The endorsement has shaped early momentum in the race for the state’s top seat.
The development points to a growing push for unity within the APC in Lagos, with key figures stepping aside to avoid internal conflict ahead of the election.
