Lagos Police Explain Mushin Blast
The Lagos State Police Command has said the explosion in Mushin was caused by a mechanical failure and not by a bomb.
Commissioner of Police Tijani Fatai gave the clarification to calm public concerns after the incident.
He explained that investigations carried out by the police found no evidence of an explosive device.
According to him, the blast resulted from a mechanical fault rather than any criminal act involving explosives.
The police urged residents to remain calm and avoid spreading false information that could create unnecessary panic.
They assured the public that the situation had been brought under control.
Fatai added that the command would continue monitoring the area and encouraged members of the public to report suspicious activities while allowing investigators to complete their work.
