PDP Begins Candidate Upload On INEC Portal
The Peoples Democratic Party has confirmed that it has started uploading the details of its candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission nomination portal for the 2027 general elections.
The process began after the party received its access codes from the electoral body on Monday.
The party said the exercise has been progressing without any major issues. It noted that the current phase covers the presidential and National Assembly elections, with the submission deadline fixed for July 7.
PDP National Publicity Secretary, Jungudo Haruna Mohammed, said the party is working hard to complete the upload before the closing date.
He explained that governorship and state assembly candidates would be submitted during the next stage of the timetable.
The PDP is presenting candidates for the presidency, Senate, House of Representatives, governorship and state assembly seats. Party officials said efforts are ongoing to meet every deadline set by INEC.
