Atiku Hails ADC Court Victory
The presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, , has welcomed the Federal High Court’s decision to dismiss a suit challenging the party’s leadership. He described the ruling as a win for democracy and the rule of law.
The court ruled that the case involved the ADC’s internal affairs and should not have been brought before the Federal High Court.
It also held that the plaintiffs failed to follow the party’s internal dispute process and lacked the legal standing to file the suit.
Atiku said the judgment showed that the courts should not be used to settle political disputes. He also maintained that the National Working Committee led by former Senate President was elected through a lawful process under the party’s constitution.
He urged ADC members to remain united and continue building the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
He added that the decision strengthens confidence in the judiciary and the party’s ability to offer Nigerians another political choice.
