Military Air Strikes Hit Terrorists Camps, Kills
The air component of Operation Fansan Yamma has carried out fresh air strikes in Mariga Local Government Area of Niger State, reportedly killing many terrorists.
The operation was conducted on June 29 as security forces stepped up efforts against armed groups in the area.
The strikes targeted locations believed to be used by the terrorists during their operations. Reports indicated that the attack also disrupted the movement of the fighters and affected their activities in the area.
According to counter-insurgency publication Zagazola Makama, the military operation dealt a major blow to the armed groups operating in Mariga. The report said many of the terrorists were killed during the mission.
The latest operation forms part of ongoing military efforts to weaken terrorist groups and improve security in parts of Niger State affected by violent attacks.
