Students Abducted In Nasarawa
Gunmen attacked a students’ lodge near Nasarawa State University on Wednesday night and abducted six students alongside a visitor.
The incident happened in Gudi, located in Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
Residents said the armed men invaded the off-campus accommodation late at night before taking the victims away to an unknown location.
The attack reportedly caused panic among students and people living in the area.
Security agencies have begun efforts to rescue the abducted victims as fears continue to grow over rising insecurity around student communities in the state.
Authorities are yet to confirm if any contact has been made with the kidnappers.
The latest attack has again raised concerns about the safety of students living outside school campuses, with many calling for stronger security measures around hostels and nearby communities.
