Tight Security For UTME In Ogun
The Ogun State Police Command has rolled out security across 72 CBT centres as the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination begins in the state.
The move covers the period from April 16 to 25, with officers and assets stationed to protect candidates and staff.
The deployment followed a plan built on intelligence gathering and rapid response, aimed at keeping the exam process calm and credible.
Police authorities said their strategy focuses on early threat detection and strong presence before, during, and after each session.
Under the directive of Commissioner Bode Ojajuni, area commanders have been placed on high alert.
They are to oversee patrols, supervise officers, and work closely with exam officials to ensure smooth operations at all centres.
The command warned that malpractice, impersonation, or disorder would attract arrest and prosecution. It also urged candidates to follow all rules, assuring residents of steady security throughout the examination period.
