Olumode Samuel Adeyemi is trending because Pres. Tinubu has appointed him as the new Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, replacing Abdulganiyu Jaji.
Nigerians are lamenting, it is another tribe-centric appointment.
Olumode was the deputy CG, until today. As he immediately replaces Jaji who retires on August 13th, as he reaches 60, the official retirement age.
Olumode’s appointment is effective from August 14th as the Controller General of the the Federal Fire Service, (FFS).
He’s however from Kogi State. A northerner, but his Yoruba names continue to stir up the controversies.
In fairness, it wasn’t really an “appointment” or another “Yoruba appointment”. It was simply a promotion.
And according to data, Tinubu’s appointments so far have been balanced between the North and Southern Nigeria, generally.
