Tinubu meets APC governors in Abuja
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu held a meeting on Thursday with governors elected under the All Progressives Congress at the State House in Abuja.
The session started later than planned after being shifted from the council chamber to the president’s office conference room.
The gathering comes shortly after another closed-door engagement with Senate leaders.
The meeting brought together several state governors to discuss party and governance matters. Those present included Babagana Zulum of Borno, Hope Uzodimma of Imo, and Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe.
Others at the meeting were Hyacinth Alia, Biodun Oyebanji, Peter Mbah, and AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
The talks were held behind closed doors, with details of the agenda not made public. However, the timing has drawn attention as it follows recent high-level consultations involving the presidency and lawmakers.
The meeting is part of ongoing political coordination within the ruling party.
No official statement has been released at the end of the meeting. Discussions are expected to continue around governance and party direction.
The gathering reflects continued engagement between the presidency and APC state leaders. Further updates are expected after the session.
