Shettima Assures Nigerians On Rescue Of Abducted Pupils
Vice President Kashim Shettima has said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is fully committed to restoring peace and security across Nigeria.
He made the statement while addressing worshippers after a special Jumaat prayer marking Democracy Day celebrations.
Shettima noted that the federal government is focused on ongoing efforts to secure the release of schoolchildren abducted by armed groups in parts of Oyo and Borno States.
He called for national unity and collective support in addressing the country’s security challenges.
He urged Nigerians to continue praying for peace and stability, adding that the nation must remember the sacrifices of past leaders who contributed to sustaining democracy.
He also encouraged citizens to remain hopeful despite current difficulties.
The Vice President reassured the public that the administration is working continuously to ensure the safe return of all abducted children, stressing that efforts to restore security remain a top priority for the government.
