Tony Elumelu and his wife, Awele, have stepped back from hosting this year’s TOE All-White Party, choosing to cancel the December 23 event in the wake of the recent fire disaster that claimed multiple lives.

The announcement came through his Instagram story, where he explained that the family could not proceed with a celebration during such a painful moment for many.

In their message, the couple said this festive period will be used to honour and remember those who died, adding, They remain forever in our hearts. The annual gathering, known for bringing together high-profile entertainers, business leaders and public figures in Lagos, will take a break as a mark of respect.

Elumelu also reassured guests that the beloved tradition will return, noting that they hope to welcome everyone back on December 23, 2026, with love, laughter, and togetherness, by God’s grace.

They rounded off their announcement with warm wishes for a peaceful and meaningful Christmas season.
